The IIIT European Summer School Islam in Europe: Challenges of Pluralism offers unique tools to navigate our reality and world with its rapidly growing pluralistic scene. In order to successfully tackle the challenges in this context, the program offers academically rigorous and innovative analysis and solutions delivered by diverse and internationally acknowledged scholars and professors of exceptional faculty. The program is designed for European graduate students majoring in Islamic studies, humanities or social sciences and who are interested in developing their knowledge and expertise in the topics offered here.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
50 hours of effective instruction and research. Students will receive reading materials soon after the selection results’ announcement to read before the program starts. When the program starts, each of the eight major modules will be introduced consecutively by the respective instructor. The time will be left for participants between two modules to pan down their reflections. Eventually the topic of each module will be discussed in an online session. Final reflection papers will be evaluated after the end of the program. The best papers will be awarded. The program will be conducted over Zoom.

Presentation and discussion on particular research of participants in special online sessions.

Certificate of attendance and 15 stipends ranging from 250 to 500 euros for the best performers in reflective essays competition running throughout the program. Detailed competition rules will be sent together with the reading materials. Regular attendance of at least 90% of the program is a precondition.
