On 10th August the eight IIIT European Summer School entitled “Islam in Europe: Challenges of Pluralism” was launched.
IIIT European Summer School in Sarajevo is organized by the International Institute of Islamic Though, the European Institute of Epistemological Studies in Brussels and the Centre for Advanced Studies in cooperation with the Fairfax Institute in the United States. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the program is conducting via Zoom.
On the first day the International Institute of Islamic Thought was introduced by Dr. Hisham Altalib, President of the IIIT, while the opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Ahmet Alibašić, Director of the Center for Advanced Studies. The first lecture on Higher Objectives of Islamic Law and Ethics was delivered by Dr. Beddy Ebnou, Director of the Institute for Epistemological Sciences Europe (IESE) Brussels/Paris.
The IIIT European Summer School Islam in Europe: Challenges of Pluralism offers unique tools to navigate our reality and world with its rapidly growing pluralistic scene. In order to successfully tackle the challenges in this context, the program offers academically rigorous and innovative analysis and solutions delivered by diverse and internationally acknowledged scholars and professors of exceptional faculty.
The program is primarily designed for postgraduate students who wants to gain more information and to become familiar with modern approaches in the fields of Islamic studies, humanities and social sciences.
